Alcorn, M, Smith, N. Thrower, J. Stitt, B. Macadam, L. Harris, M. Nelson, M. Saater, M. Nelson, I. Goodfellow, V. Linkwich, and K. Whitton. Mrs. 0. Wright, now of Beardmore, was pre- 'sented with her Past Grand jewel and farewell gift from the Lodge, by Mrs. A. Bryson, who later accompanied Mrs. Wright when she sang "Bless This House." Mrs. Wright thanked the members and officer for their support during her term as noble grand, Mrs. Legrow, who received a corsage, ex- pressed appreciation on behalf of the team and other guests for the cordial welcome and the dinner served to them with past and present local officers. Members of Agate, Amethyst, Greenstone, and Sapphire Lodges, Mrs.and Mrs. Dawson, of Fort William, and Mrs. L. Purves of Hidson were among the guests attending. Mrs. Legrow congratulated and commended Mrs A. SOCIAL AND PERSONAL Prior to their departure for Woodstock, Ont where Dave has been transferred by the Ontario Hydro, Lois and Dave Brabrooke were enter- tained by many of their friends, A party at the home of Millie Welsh surprised Lois Thurs- day evening, when Millie presented her with a vase and matching ash tray, from her friends attending. Assisting with lunch and entertain ment were Virginia Galvin and Marlene Hanley, The staff of the Terrace Bay News also entertained Lois at a dinner before she left. The Hydro club held a farewell party at the home of Marie and Lew Edmunds, when Lois and Dave Brabrooke and Jackie and Doug Large were the honored guests. Annie Erickson, president of the club, made the presentation of a pain- ting by local artist, Sadie Gaulin, to the Brabrookes and a bath emsemble to the Larges with the good wishes of the member's in their new homes. Doug Large has departed for St. Catharines, with his family to follow this month. ART APPRECIATION PROGRAM HERE NOVEMBER 20TH The Terrace Bay Art Club is pleased to announce that in conjuction with The Art Institute of Ontario it is sponsoring a pro- gramme of art appreciation the evening of November 20th, at 7:30 P.M. in the High School Auditorium, Mr. Paul Bennett will be carrying a collec- tion of about ten original Canadian works of art, and will lecture on these paintings and illustrate his points by means of slides of other works of art by the same artists, The Public is cordially invited to attend. ae 2 Terrace Bay Airman serves in France - Leading Air- craftman G.A.Dennis, son of Mr.George Dennis.
