UPPER CANADA VILLAGE WORTH VISITING Recent vacationers who had an opportunity of visiting Upper Canada Village at Morris- burg, Ontario report that it was a most en- joyable experience. One of a chain of parks administered by the St.Lawrence Parks Commission Upper Canada Village is a brilliant conception of the Ontario Government and comprises some 40 rep resentative homes and buildings that might have been found in a typical historical Rive village. For the most part the buildings were rescued from the flooding that ensured with the construction of the St.Lawrence Sea way and Power Projects and removed to their present site on the sloping banks of Lake St. Lawrence. The Village is a masterpiece of accuracy and detail. Everything works--the woolen mill, over 100 years old - the 1840 sawmill cuts logs - crisp loaves (original recipe) are baked in Willard's Hotel bakehouse. For further information on any of the Commission's facilities, write the Informa- tion Officer, The St. Lawrence Parks Commis- sion, P.0. Box 340, Morrisburg, Ontario, Can.
