TERRACE BAY SWIM MEET SATURDAY The annual Terrace Bay Swim Meet will be held this Saturday afternoon at the Pool. Starting time is '1 P.M. sharp. The programme for the swim . meet is set up to include events for all age and ability groups. Competitions in breast stroke, backstroke, crawl, diving and relays will be held for swimmers from 8 . years up. No problem is foreseen in filling the events for the younger age groups, but we are especially hopeful that more of the older swimmers will register for the open events. REGISTRATIONS SHOULD BE MADE AT THE POOL BEFORE 6 p.m. THIS FREDAY. NO REGISTRATIONS WILL BE TAKEN ON THE DAY OF THE MEET. This is necessary so that heats for all events can be set up in advance of the competition. In addition to the crests that will be . awarded to first, second and third place win- ners, there will also be individual trophies given to the top point-getters in both boys and girls in the following age groups: Juniors (10 years and under) Intermediates (14 years and under) Seniors ( 15 years and up) | Points for these trophies will include all events in which the swimmer engages during -- the day, with the exception of relays. To encourage full participation of all Swimmers, competitors will be allowed to regis -ter only in one age group. This will mean that more advanced swimmers will not be able to take part in several age groups. This should assure us of full registrations in all groups. BE SURE TO REGISTER IMMEDIATELY. Competitions in all events for boys and girls will be broken into the following age groups: 8 years and under; (Cont'd on Pg, 5).
