« July 9, 1964 REBEKAHS APPOINT DELEGATES . Jessie McCanna, V.G. and Mrs.Nettie THE Mrs Thrower, P.N.G. were in charge of the regular Rebekah meeting this week. Mrs.McCanna reported for sick and visiting, sending flowers to and visiting Mrs.Pearl Hiller in Terrace Bay Hospital . Mrs ..Thrower and Mrs.Mildred Smith were appoint- ed to attend the district committee meeting. The correspondence was read by Mrs. Beth Macadam and included a thank-you note from Mrs .Molly Parchem for a gift from the Lodge. First nominations were held and a memorial service for department members was observed. The Lodge is now in summer recess. Mr .and Mrs .Einar Macki of Capreol visited with Mr.and Mrs.Lester McCuaig enroute to the Lakehead. Mr.and Mrs.W.S.Harris are visiting with friends in Ottawa and with their son Walter, Jr.and his fam- ily in Peterborough. Mr ..and Mrs. Jack McCouan and Mr .and Mrs. Paul Pelto have gone to Castlegar, B.C., to visit Mr.and Mrs.Les Buffet. From there Mr. Buffet will continue with the party to enter a bonspiel in Nelson, B.C. Mrs. Jack Devon, Colleen, Terry and Billy of Egan- ville are visiting with Mrs.David Godin and other relatives here. Mrs.Georges Legault and son David, of Montreal, are here to spend the summer with Mr.and Mrs.J.D. Bryson and Mr.and Mrs.Jack Bryson. Mrs.J.P.Gagnon, Manitoba Street, is in St.Jos- eph's Hospital, Port Arthur. Mrs.Fred Hiller, who has been in Terrace Bay Hos- pital for the past two weeks, returned home Thursday . Mr .and Mrs.Stan Collins of Toronto and Miss Shirley Collins of Florida, are the guests of Mr.and Mrs .V .Everitt. Mrs .Harold Gellert and son Danny have gone to Ottawa to attend the funeral of Mrs.Gellert's uncle. Mr.and Mrs.N.Molinsky of Vancouver are visiting relatives in town. Mrs.Giovanni Speziale h as gone to Italy to b e with her mother who is ill. Rev .Douglas Sly, Mrs.Sly and the children, with Joan Huzel, all of Winnipeg, are at their camp at Walker Lake. Keith Fraser of Toronto has been visiting Neil Whent. Miss Dorothy Sly has returned after a long holiday in Ottawa dnd Bourlemaque with relations. Mr .and Mrs.Allan Suni have returned to Pt.Arthur after visiting Mr.and Mrs. Nick Pelto, leaving their son Raymond for'a further holiday . David McCutcheon of Homewood, Man., spent the long weekend with Rev.and Mrs.Fraser Muldrew. Mr.and Mrs.Turner of Winnipeg, are visiting Mr. and Mrs.Bob Turner. Jane Singleton, Nancy Spillane and Karen Lidkea are at Bible Camp in Dorion this week. Mr .and Mrs. Bill Randa leave this week to attend the Calgary Stampede. Mr.and Mrs.Jamie Bosley of Parry Sound have arrived to make their home here--Mr . Bosley replac- ing W.J.Cringle on the OPP force. NEWS Mrs .Roy Ogilvie (nee Gloria Taylor) and gon lan, of Vancouver, are visiting Mrs.Muriel Sealiton., Also visiting there is Mrs. John Hucul of Ft William. Mrs.K.Wells of O'Connor is the guest of Mr. and Mrs .Jack Rummery . Mrs.Ken Davis and Mrs. Bill hidkea a families, spent the weekend in White River with Mr and Mrs. R.Leadbeater . Starting a new trend, Mr.and Mrs.W@lly Richard= son and family flew into Catherine Lake, north of here, to spend their vacation at their camp there. Mr .and Mrs.George Burns had the former's mother, a sister, Barbara of Vancouver, with them this week, enroute to southern Ontario. Mrs.J.E.Sheehan has returned from Columbus, Ohio to spend the summer here. Her daughter, Mrs. John Kelly of Marathon and family, is Pragpntly visiting Mrs .Sheehan. Mr .and Mrs.Edward Oleksuk are visiting their: daughter, Mrs.Edgar Ray and her family. Cynthia Bond and Jeanette Leybourne leqve this month to spend a year nursing at Norway Hoyvse--300 "miles north of Winnipeg. Neighbors on Columbia Street extended a warm welcome home to Mrs.Ernie O'Connor who had spent the winter with Mr.and Mrs.Les Corbett in Fort Wil- liam. Mr .and Mrs .Earl McCouan are spending their vacation camping at Kakabeka. Mr .and Mrs.Charlie Riley of Pt.Arthur are holi- daying with Mr.and Mrs .Bob Winters at Terrace Beach and visiting other relations here. Mr .and Mrs. Bill Gerow, their daughter Mary- Ellen and Mrs.Bernice Jacomb leave on Tuesday to attend a nephew's wedding in Toronto. The Gerow's will go to visit Mr.and Mrs.Ted Wainikka in Don Mills, Mrs.Gerow's sister in Port Credit and her father in Wardsville. Mr .and Mrs .Eddie Macadam have gone to Timmins for the summer where Mr .McAdam will take the special course offered to teachers in the new simpli- fied mathematics. Mr .and Mrs.Tom McC yaig of Ft.William are visiting McCuaig families here. Rev .Douglas Sly of Winnipeg, who is vacationing here, will take the sermon at the July 19 service in St. Andrew's United Church. Mrs.J.D.McCoshen of Fort William is staying with their family while Mr.and Mrs.Austen Cosgrove are holidaying in the west. Mrs.Oscar Niemi, Miss Esther Niemi, Charlotte and Melanie Ross have gone to the Calgary stampede Sharon Smith, Ca therine Pike, Wendy Pitkanen and Billie Weaver are et Duncan Memorial Camp, Logn Lake, with the Explorers' group this week . Mr .and Mrs .Frank Walker and family of Manitou- wadge spent the holiday here. Rev.J.Jordon of Port Arthur took the morning ser- vice in St.John's Anglican Church. Mr .and Mrs.Avery Duncan are the guests of Mr. and Mrs.George Duncan. There will be an open reception in St.John Churc Hall from 3-5 in honor of Mr.and Mrs. John Inshaw .,
