Minutes of the last meeting were adopted as read, The Secretary advised that all requirements had been met and the sign would be erected immediately. Letters to and from the Hon. G, Wardrope re Killala Lake Road were read. A report on the tour of the Civic Improve- ment Committee was given and the contents noted. Considerable discussion was given the possibility of having trees and brush thinned out to provide an unobstructed view of the Slate Islands and Lake Superior. The Council suggested that perhaps this would be a worth- while Winter Works program for the Township of Kimberly-Clark Corporation. Council thank ed the committee for a very thorough job. A letter of resignation from Sec, Treasurer D.Large was read and discussed. He advised that he felt it was time the Chamber gave serious thought to the possibility of hiring a Sec.Manager for the organization. The Council concurred with this observation and tabled it for discussion at the next meeting since the resignation is not effective until June 30th. The Secretary was instructed to follow up the L.P.T. situation. After considerable discussion it was moved and.passed that the Boy Scout Court of Honour be contacted requesting the Terrace Bay Boy Scout Troop assume the responsibility for the maintenance and improvement of the Aguasabon Falls and Gorge with the financial assistance of the Chamber. Attending the meeting were:- W. McMicking, J.Kelty, L. Crandlemire, J.Commisso, E. Cavanaugh, L.Waghorn, R.Bray, T.Costa and D. Large. NOTICE Council has requested that owners and tenants of property in Terrace Bay be asked to clean up and remove any rubbish, car wrecks, etc., from their property. Placing of rubbish, etc., on 'green belts' or other township property is forbidden and should be removed immediately. W.F, Strutt, Secretary --- Treasurer, Township of Terrace Bay.
