COUPLE HONOURED ON 25TH ANNIVERSARY Emily and Bert Lohr were the guests of honor at a surprise party recently on the occasion of their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary. Over fifty friends filled their home to offer congratulations and enjoy a social evening. On behalf of the group Bill Col- borne presented Em and Bert with a silver tea service and, to complete the evening, cut the beautifully decorated wedding cake. Host and Hostess were their daughter and son, Donna and David. Preceding the party a family dinner was held in the Terrace Bay Motor Hotel when Em and Bert were presented with a corsage and boutonniere, a set of golf clubs to Father and luggage to Mother from Donna, David and Ricky. Mr.and Mrs. Wm. Stachiw of Terrace Bay are pleased to announce the marriage of their only daughter, Julia Anne to Mr. David Storm Cowan, son of Mr.and Mrs. Sol Cowan of 76 Rupert Street, Port Arthur, on Friday, May 29th in Port Arthur. Attendants at the wedding ceremony were Mr. and Mrs. Edward Stachiw, brother and sister-in-law of the bride. TENNIS NEWS A real interest in Tennis has been apparent this Spring, with the courts in almost constant use. Un- fortunately, despite continued efforts, it has been impossible to form a Tennis Club because of lack of interest. However, this new revival could mean the reformation of a Club.
