To get her All-round Cord, Bonnie had to qualify for five badges, First Aid, Swimmer, Pioneer, Toy Make and Thrift. In addition she earned her Hiker, Wood- man, Writer, Home Nurse, Athlete, Camper, Con- servation and Tracker to receive the Wood craft Emblem. Invited by Capt. Downey, Mrs. Hamilton joined the Guiders, and placed the Gold Cord on her daughter's uniform. Bonnie lit the last of the candles a gold one, and placed it in the highest and last tier of the achievement stand. A salute from the Brownies was given by Brownies Ann Boudreau, Sharon Desrosier and Colleen Vali- quette. On behalf of the Girl Guide Association Mrs. Mikus, Chairman presented Bonnie with a gift, | and the program closed with evensong and taps. The evening continued with a Tea when Mrs. H. Brooks and Mrs. A. Farrow poured and msmbers of the Guide Association served the Guiders and guests. Visiting Guiders included Mrs. D. Earle, North Shore District Commissioner and Mrs. S. Two Guides to earn their Second Class advanced forward up the rungs of the ladder, symbolized by pairs of Girl Guides holding a ribbon as a rung. Guides Clare Belliveau and Katharine Smith were awarded their Second Class badges by Capt. Downey, then having their candles lit by Bonnie, stood them in the second row of the stand.
