LEGION HI-LITES - Terrace Bay Branch #223 Royal Cmadian Legion On April 11th local delegates from the Legion and delegates from the Ladies Auxiliary, with their hus- bands and wives, attended their respective annual meetings in Geraldton and Longlac. At this meeting Branch #223 (Terrace Bay) received a commendation award, in the form of ascroll, for their increase in membership in 1963. Delegates attending were Pres., Geo.Daniels, Vice-Pres., Howard Solly, Sec., Lorne Vezina, from Br.223 and Mesdames Fisher and Solly from the Ladies Auxiliary, Br.223. The completed agenda and outcome of this meeting will be aired at our next meeting, May 6th, at the Legion Hall. Your support, by your attendance at these meetings, is vital to the smooth operation of branch activities. MAKE AN EFFORT TO ATTEND. Qn a recent evening, our local Branch, in co-oper ation with a well known Brewery Representative, hosted numerous members and guests, along with ex- service personnel, in the showing of film highlights of the "Clay-Liston World Heavyweight Boxing Championships." The night was not in our favour but nevertheless a group of some 50 adults attended. We would like to mention at this time that numerous comments were heard in regard to the Legion Hall-- all favorable, for it is quite remarkable that such an 'old b eat-up building' as that could be trans- formed into such a presentable structure (both inside and out). Those members who helped restore the structure to its present standards can be justly proud of their efforts. We in the Legion (all members) are looking forward to the near future when the general public will be afforded the opportunity to inspect our quarters at our official dedication ceremonies.
