The Terrace Bay Golf Committee has set May 5th as election date for officers of the Aguasabon Golf Club. The election will take place in the large meeting room of the Recre- ation Centre -- time 8:00 P.M. The nominating Committee composed of Jack Phillips and Ross Mitchell will present a slate to which further nominations from the floor can be added. Eight board of directors will be elected. The board will then elect a President - vice-president and a secretary- treasurer. Only adult members are eligible to cast a vote. Thor Olson reported that the Terrace Bay Kiwanis Club would like to make a contribution toward the golf course. This contribution would be over a two year period and it would consist of repairs and alteration to the old swimming pool building which will be converted to a club house. Since many members of the Kiwanis Club have in the past put in a lot of work party hours in building the course, this added assistance and recognition by the Kiwan- is Club is greatly appreciated. Concern was expressed over the early use of the fairways. Members are urged to stay away from fairways and greens during this wet period. The four completed holes will be put in shape for playing as soon as possible, In the meantime Thor Olsen is calling for volun- teers to the work parties which will begin ATTEND THE CHURCH OF YOUR CHOICE FITNESS CLASSES END SCHREIBER ST. It would be appreciated if parents would advise their children to stay away from the golf course. One day last week there were about fifteen kiddies with dogs tramping and running around the greens. A great deal of work has gone in to the building of these greens and such abuse can do considerable damage.
