Mrs. 0. Wright, N.G. and Mrs. J.McCanna, vV.G., were in charge of the regular meeting of Ruby Rebekah Lodge on March 25th. Mrs. F.Whent, PNG., was named representative to the Rebekah Assembly in June with Mrs.Mary Legault as alternate and Mrs. Jean Plummer as Scholar. Mrs. Plummer and Mrs. Nettie Thrower were appointed representatives to the district con- ventions The financial secretary's report was given by Mrs, M.Gander and the regular Treasurer's report by Mrs. J.Macadam. An invitation was received from Sapphire Lodge, Ft.William to attend their initiation exercises. Mrs.Gander agreed to convene the Calico Tea on April llth and Mrs. McCanna reported making sick calls. Mrs.Wright reported on C.P.and T. committee meetings. This group does welfare work. Following the meeting on April 8th, Rev. D.F.Muldrew will show slides which he made during a visit to the Holy Land. The silver collection taken will be sent to the Bible Society. Members may bring guests on this occasion. Mr.and Mrs.Forbes Macadam visited their daughters and families during Easter---Mrs. John R.Branch in Montreal and Mrs.Ray Nott in Trenton. Flowers for the Easter service were placed in St.Andrewts United Church by Mrs. J.Good- fellow (Toronto) and Oliver Plummer in memory of their mother and brothers Baden and George; by Mrs.Della Moore and family in memory of John and Billy Moore. Miss Juanita Stewart of Pft.Arthur visited Mr.and Mrs.Hugh Stewart during Easter week. Mrs.Bill Mullins and John Power attended the Separate School convention in Toronto. They were accompanied by Mr.Mullins and Mrs. Power. Allan Bourk has returned from Ottawa where he visited his brother and uncle at Easter. Lanny Mullins spent the week with Mr.and Mrs.Sam McLean in Marathon. Phil Birch and Roger Morgan spent the holi- day week in Kingston with Roger's father. Susan Kragero from the HI-C Group and Boyd Drake of the High School attended the second North-western Ontario Youth Conference in the Lakehead. Mrs.Arthur Brown of Ft.William spent Easter with Mr.and Mrs, Alec Gordon. Mr.and Mrs.Frank Vescio and family of Port Arthur were with Mr.& Mrs.Bill Randa. Mr.and Mrs.Bill Campbell of Ft.William vis- ited their parents. Sandra Murray of Winnipeg was with her grandparents, Mr.,and Mrs.George Duncan, Mrs.Walter Illijow, who has been ill many months was able to spend Easter weekend at home, Her son Stanley with his family, came from Nipigon to visit her. She was taken back to McKellar by Mr.and Mrs.David Nesbitt. Mr.and Mrs.D.Topolinsky spent Easter with relatives in Timmons. Christy Graham of Ft.William spent Easter with Donna Gellert. Visiting with Mr.and Mrs.Wesley Clemens last week were Mr.and Mrs. G.Donnelly of Cook stown and Mrs.Henry Heino with her son Donald and Mark Savas, all of Port Arthur. Dan.Ray is in Terrace Bay Hospital. Mrs.Sanford Chicoine spent Easter in Sud- bury with her daughter, Mrs.Edward O'Driscoll and family. Jack Gorr was transferred from McKellar Hospital'?to Terrace Bay on Saturday. Mrs.Wilfred McLaughlin of London is here visiting her parents, Mr.and Mrs.Norman McCuaig. Daffodils were placed in the Churches in town on Sunday by the Cancer Committee to mark the opening of their annual drive for funds. Mrs.Tommy Whitton spent Easter in Winnipeg visiting her husband in Deer Lodge Hospital. Mrs. Elsie Garner and son David of Carlisle Ont. ,have been the guests of Mr.and Mrs, A.R. Parchem. 0.B.Fasan, Principal of the High School, attended the 0.C.E.convention in Toronto last week, ST. JOHN'S W.A. DISCUSS PROJECTS Mrs.A.E.Rigelsford presided for the April meeting of the St.John Church Women's Auxil- iary with Mrs.Bob Gray as hostess. Plans were made for the Mother's Day Tea on May 9th in the Church Hall. Membership pins were purchased and Mrs.Cyril Sparkes read minutes and letters from Mrs.D.Bowers, of the Soo, Sec.Treasurer of the Church Maga- zine and from the Shingwauk Home for Children also in the Soo. Mrs.Gray gave the Treasurer's report and Mrs. Jack Corbett the flower fund and card account. Annual pledges were paid. Mrs.R.Lindstrom wrote asking for menus for a Brownie Mother and Daughter Banquet and a bakeless bake sale was planned for April 15. Sylvia Harness and Patsy Dimmery accompan- ied the Girls* Auxiliary members of St. John's Anglican Church who went to North Bay last week for a two day festival of the G.A. Assoc- iation. Othersattending were Helen Harness, Brenda Dimmery, Karen Lidkea, Jane Bailey, Heather Tremblay, Jane Singleton and Shirley Anne Winters. Mrs. John Didych of Fort William spent Easter with her daughters, Mrs.Gerry Fisher and Mrs. Harold Fischer and their families.
