COSTA=-FRAGOMENI VOWS EXCHANGED The marriage vows of Marianna Fragomeni and Cosimo Costa, exchanged first in Siderno, Italy, on Novemb er 14, 1963, were renewed in Holy Angels Roman Catholic Church on March 25, with Rev. J. M.Cano officiating. Mrs. Mark Eusebi was organist and Mrs. G.Eusebi soloist. The bride's gown was nylon tulle and Chantilly Lace, accordion pleated tulle tiers forming the very full skirt. A lace overskirt extended into a court train. The lace basque waist was corded at the dropped waistline and fastened at the back with self-covered buttons and trimmed with irridescents and pearls. Her triple veil was caught to a crown of cut crys= tals and she carried an arm bouquet of pink and white glads and daisies. The attendants were Mr.and Mrs. Joe Costa, Mrs. €osta wearing azure blue nylon chiffon with a bouf- fant skirt, shirred torso length bodice, draped neck line and short sleeves. Her hat of matching blue was a ring of faille fasted with bow. Her gloves and shoes were white and she carried a shower of pink and white carnations. Following the ceremony a dinner was given in the Superior dining room when the table was centred with a four-tier wedding cake. Arrangements of white and yellow mums and blue iris also graced the table. Mr.and Mrs .Costa left for a honeymoon in Toron- to, the bride travelling in a walking suit, the beige coat lined with the same flowered material of which the sheath dress was made. She wore a pillbox hat and her corsage was yellow butterfly roses. The couple will live in Schreiber where the groom is employed with Spadoni Brothers Ltd. Attending the wedding from out of town were the bride's sister and husband, Mr.and Mrs. D.Romeo of Ft.William. Mr..and Mrs. Bill Miller took a cheque for $837 to Rev.J.M.Crook in Brandon, contributed by all the Churches in Schreiber, other friends in the com= munity, and the Terrace Bay Community Church. CATHOLIC LEAGUE MEMB ERS RECEIVE SCROLLS In an impressive ceremony in Holy Angels Church on Sunday evening March 22, fifteen members of the Catholic Women's League were presented with scrolls signifying 25 or more years membership. The scrolls proferred on trays by Colleen Cosgrove and Lenore O'Brien, were presented by Mrs. Bill Cocks, League President, and each member accepted her scroll and a blessing given by Father J.M.Cano.. Mrs. Sara Potvin and Mrs. P.J.McGrath were unable to be present but those there included Mesd. Tom Cosgrove, E.J.Brennan, George Lemieux, Russell McBride, Henry Bourguignon, David Godin, J.P.Gagnon, P.J.LeBlanc, B.Fournier, Albert Gauthier, Harry Jewell, William Holland, Henry Greengrass, Tom Bolan, H.Welbourne. BROWNIE FLY=-UP The impressive ceremony in which a Brownie moves up to Guides was observed in Holy Angels School auditorium on Tuesday evening, with two girls making the change; Jane Bailey, who had received the Golden Hand award, and Ruth Fadden who made the step by the Golden Slipper walk-up procedure. Among the interested spectators attending was Jane's grandmother, Mrs .Roy Bailey, who, in 1223 organized the first Girl Guides in Schreiber and, with Mrs. Walter Wilkes, attended the Guide Jubilee in Victoria, B.C.. There are sixty brownies and Guides here now, with Mrs. N.J.Jolicoeur, lieutenant of the Guides. Brownie leaders are Mrs. W . Stefurak park #1 Brown Owl, Mrs. Giovanni Cebrario pack #2 Brown Owl ent Mrs. Harry Shack, Mrs .Ray Sisson and Mrs. Al.Fasan, Tawny Owls. Following the ceremony the Brownies and Guides played favourite games and later lunch was served. HOTEL BREAK IN SATURDAY Early Sunday morning thieves broke in to the beve- rage room of Terrace Bay Motor Hotel and made off with approximately $500 in cash, one case of beer ard the keys. Police are presently working on the case.
