TENDERS Tenders will be accepted up to 6:00 p.m., March 12th, 1964, for the painting of class rooms 2, 3 and 4 and hallway walls in the original building of the Terrace Bay High School during the period March 27th to April 4th, inclusive. ACTIVITIES The C.G.1.T.girls of the Commmnity Church have spent a very interesting and active win- ter. Among their recent guests they had Mrs. R.Uzicanin who spoke on Pakistan, from her six years experience in living there. At another meeting Rev.T.Garnett Husser talked on tA Member of the Church! and with their being a member they could contribute to world missions helping other people indirectly. Last Wednesday evening, the members sat down to an Indian dinner, each beautifully dressed in saris. With recipes supplied by Mrs.Bob Shirriff, a former member of the Parish, and Mrs. Uzicanin, and the meal pre- pared by Leaders, Mrs.Helen Brooks and Mrs. Elsie Berndtsson, the members enjoyed curry served with pelough and chutney, and porries or Indian Bread. For dessert they sampled Kheer then bread pudding. This dinner con- cluded the year's study of India. Senior and Intermediate girls attended the tables and arranged the evening's enter- tainment. Next Sunday, Rev. R.M. Bennett, Secretary of World Mission and Evangelism of the Coun- cil of Churches, will be the guest speaker at the Community Church.
