Two rollicking clowns, Irene Stuart and Margaret Ann Pineault, at this booth kept the child- ren happy and assisted in the selling of Dolls and Balloons, Many draws highlighted the afternoon's Bazaar and winners of these were: Quilts - Mesdames P, Maleshewski, S, Zwaresh and T, Delarond. The Parish Draw was won by Dolly Louk first and Mrs, A. Theriault, Sherri Timpano won the pretty Cookie Jar and Gail Edmonds the beautifully dressed doll. Mrs, L. Williams won the Gay Go Togethers and Mrs, D. Whalen the filled Candy Dish. - Mrs. Mary Shack of Schreiber was the lucky winner of the lace Table Cloth, Mrs, E. St.Dennis won the Turtle in the Turtle Dish and Mrs, L, Waghorn the Mother and Daughter Aprons, and little Barry Savoy got the Model Kit. CARD O. The concluding luncheon was served by Mrs.H.Boudreau and her committee, SCHREIBER CHAMBER HEARS REPORTS ON CONVENTIONS At a ineeting on October 2nd in the Town Hall members of the Schreiber Chamber of Commerce and interested citizens heard Mr.Bob Spadoni report on the Northwestern Ontario Associated Chambers of Commerce 26th Annual Convention held in Fort William on Sept.2lst and 22nd. Don Beno reported on the meeting of the Upper Lake Superior Tourist Council held in Port Arthur on September 13th. It was decided that the Chamber of Commerce would join the Ontario Camber of Commerce and the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, It was moved that a letter be sent to the Town Council requesting permission for the Chamber of Commerce to sponsor the coming elec- tion. A letter of thanks was also sent to Council for their co-operation in improving 'the approaches to the Town and an especial thanks to Councillor Fred Harness for his work on same, The Chamber are looking into the possibility of locating a mobile unit to be used as a Tourist Information Bureau, The sympathy of the comaunity is extended to Mr.H. (Scotty) Hamilton who went from the funeral of his uncle to the bedside of his Mother, Mrs.Mabel Hamilton, as she passed away Monday, October 2nd, in Fort William, WOMEN OF THE MOOSE Mrs. Ann Stachiw, Sr.Regent, presided over the meeting last Wednesday of the Women of the Moose, Chapter 1426. The Recorder, Mrs, Doreen Kurylo, read the minutes and various business of the Chapter was conducted. Home Bingo winners, Ann Didura of Schrei- ber and T,3razeau of Terrace Bay, were an- nounced. Cliff Wood, Ken Ward, Cy Brassard and id. Pineault attended a recent galae between the Milwaukee Braves and the San Francisco Giants in Milwaukee. A ball, fouled by Orlando Capada was picked up by Ed who also gained access to the dressing room where Capada autographed it. He also secured the auto- graph of Willy Mays.
