Mrs. Helen Hales is returning as Brown Owl for the Pack, Millie and Vic Welsh were in the Lakehead to attend the marriage of Millie's brother Avery Duncan to Miss Betty Berringer on Aug. 19th. During the wedding week visitors at their home included Millie's sister and brother-in-law, Mr, and Mrs. Doug Murray and children from Winnipeg. Mrs. Dene Clancy and daughter Karen Moore returned home this weekend from a weeks visit with her family in Regina and mother, Mrs. M. McGregor in Stoughton, Saskatchewan and to attend the marriage of her niece Miss Diane Mohrs on Friday, Miss Lois Chapman returned home to Fort William on Sunday having spent the previous two weeks in Terrace Bay visiting at the home of Mr. & Mrs, Clifford Knauff, Guests at the home of Mr. & Mrs. Eino Trudeau recently have included Mr. & Mrs. H. Setala and children of Port Arthur who visit- ed last week, and Mr. & Mrs. H. Aho and daughter from Kaministiquia for the holiday weekend, Norma Schock and Betty MacFadyen, home for the past month with their respective families, Mr, & Mrs. Ernie Schock and Mr, & Mrs. Don MacFadyen returned to the Lakehead over the weekend to commence their last year as nurses- in-training at McKellar Hospital. Myrna Crandlemire left for Manitouwadge on Sunday to take over teaching duties of the Grade two class at the Manitouwadge Public School. Gary Crandlemire returned to Port Arthur over the weekend to take his Grade 13 at the Collegiate, Dick Rowson, after the summer with his parents Mr. & Mrs. E, Rowson, left on Sunday to take up teaching at the Slate River School. During the last week of her vacation Sandra had as her guests two fellow student nurses, Beverley Lowry from Burlington and Lee Simpson of Stony Creek. Peter Phillips also departed over the weekend | to take his Grade 13 studies at the Marathon | High School. Don Fedun has been enrolled at St. Patricks | High Schoo],,Fort William to take his Grade ll. Don was signed up by Mickey Hennessey of the Fort William Canadians for the coming season of hockey, Betty and Forbes Cruickshank with their sons David, Jack and Pat returned last week from a ten day visit with friends in Niagara Falls and the Toronto district and a trip to the Exhibition. The highlight of the trip for Forbes was a grand reunion, after twenty years} of the 415 Squadron, R.C.A.F. which was held at the Eglington Hunt Club in Toronto. Bill Colborne is a Grade 13 student at the Fort William Collegiate for the coming term. Lauri Mae Marcella left last week for Sarnia to take her grade 12 studies at St. Patricks HighSchool while a guest of her brother Richard Marcella and family. Ron Schock left on Saturday for Niagara Falls where he has been enrolled to take his Grade 13 at the Niagara Falls Colleriate and Vocational Institute. Ron will play hockey this coming season with the Niagara Falls Flyers who are sponsored by the Boston Bruins Club. Maryellen Reynolds is enrolled at the Kenora HighSchool for her Grade 13 studies. Donald Farrow left Saturday to take up residence in Fort William and will take his grade 13 at the Fort William Collegiate. Mr. & Mrs, A.H. Farrow accompanied their son and enjoyed a weekend visiting with Mr. & Mrs. H. Fulton in Fort William. Bill Garvin has departed for Dryden, Ont. where he will enroll for his Grade 13 at the High:School there. Janet Wills will take her Grade 13 at Hillcrest High in Port Arthur. Cathy Cavanaugh arrived home last weekend from a summer vacation with relatives in Burlington and Port Colborne. Cathy is the daughter of (Continued on Page 7)
