The distress call, issued by a missionary of the Northern Light Mission, 85 miles north of Red Lake, Ontario was first received by an operator at Norway Lake, Minn, This. operator contacted the Terrace Bay resident who, with assistance from a Port Arthur operator, cleared the network to receive the distress signal and then phoned to the Lakehead for a plane to be dispatched to bring the ailing woman to the hospital.
