Square dancing started the evening off in a high spirited and rollicking manner, Girls from Grade 9 taking part were Paulette Boudreau, Cathy Cavanaugh, Arlene Coates, Donna Fedorak, Jean Hopper, Velma LeBlanc, Lillian LeClair, Ainsley Middaugh, Joan TERRACE BAY NEWS EXECUTIVE OF HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY MEET HATE THAT GRAY? Those taking part were Janice Coe, Annette Comeau, Wendy Duncan, Betsy Ferrier, Maureen Hall, Jane ileenan, Kit Knauff, Linda MacFadyen, Betty Rowson, Barbara Sweet, Joyce Valentino, Gail Wood, Annette Boudreau. A one act comed entitled."They Put on a Play" came next. Mis Bonnie Jean Wilson gave a talented and highly amusing performance as Mrs. Cameron, the mai character, Supporting cast of Maryellen -Reynolds, Fay Thorsteinson, Janet Wills, Elaine Long, Paul Heenan, Chris Cavanaugh , John Comeau and Lloyd Phillips gave realistic and hilarious portrayals of their various parts, Miss Bonnie Long entertained with skilful Baton Twirling, an attractive additio tothe programme, The snappy gymnastics of the boys was quite an impressive display of skill and technique. The boys taking part were Bill Colborne, Don Colborne, Ed Kenney, Bob Legault, Ed Linkewich, Doug Moore, Henry Stuart and Cliff Wood. The programme ended with another square dance by Grade 9 Girls, as follows: Holly Berndtsson, Arlene Coates, Janis Gross, Jean Hopper, Velma LeBlanc, Ainsley Middaugh, Dianne Paulsen and Noreen Scowen, The boys and girls received well earned applause and the auditorium was filled to capacity which is a great tribute to the students and the teachers of the school, Eight directors attended an Executive meeting of the Horticultural.Society Tuesday, May 9 at the home of Mrs, E. Connors, Pres. H, Goodfellow called for the minutes and financial statements given by Mrs. G, Cotton and Mrs, A, Farrow respectively. Committee reports were heard from A.Farrow and A. Desrosier, Commercial fertilizer will not be handled by the Society this year and orders are being taken for manure, expected in shortly, -Jiffy Pots are still available. There are only seven Test Plots left. Seeds have been ordered for the Junior Gardens Program and the Chairman Mr.St,Louis and the President will meet with the school children during the coming week, The Kiwanis ontinued on Page 9)
