These books may be consulted in the library room,but; because of their value and constant usage, may not be taken out on library) cards, There has been a decided upturn in the amount of reader interest shown by the children of our town, as elsewhere in Canada, and it is the inten- tion of the Library Board and our librarians to foster this interest to the utmost, A reference library for the children has been instituted, and we are greatly encouraged by the demand for more books of this nature, which we are trying to supply to the best of our means, The National Safety Council launched a campaign direc- ted against drunken driving at Xmas and New Year's, The theme is "Keep Christmas in your driving," The slogan is-- "NONE FOR THE ROAD" has
