MRS.FRAN HERRON GUEST AT SURPRISi PARTY A Surprise neighbourhood party for Mrs. Fran Herron was held last Tuesday evening at' the home of Mrs,J,Kennedy. Fran and her Mother, Mrs MacPhail, received corsages on arrival and the group presented Fran with a cameo locket with their best wishes. Games and luncheon were enjoyed during the evening with Mris.Phyl Turner and Mrs. Kay Graham sharing hostess honours, Jane Valiquette celebrated her eighth birthday Saturday afternoon with help from ten girl friends. Games indoors and out were played before the birthday luncheon was served, Mrs. J.sBradley had a party Sunday after- noon to celebrate her son Roddy's fifth birthday. Five little guests were enter- tained by Roddy's brothers Terry and Ken. Following the theme a film will be~shown 'A Woman to Remember', Members of the Ladies Chorus will be present to entertain members and a demonstration of cake decorating will be given by Mrs.H.Brooks and Mrs.L.Ginn, The Afternoon Group will meet on Monday, June lst. at 1:45 at which time Dr.M.McCaus- land will be present to introduce a short cancer film.
