Daisy's Knitting Club had a Supper for her on Tuesday the 17th at the home of Mrs. Em, Lohr and made her a presentation of jewellery, Following a regular session of the Art Club a soci2l evening and luncheon was held to say goodbye to Daisy, an active member since the Club's inception, Others to leave for the West Coast were Jan and David "Snooky" Nelson with Linda and David; and Dot and "Brownie" Yonin with daughter Laurie Ann, Snooky and Brownie were jointly entertained by Shift No. 1 of their co-workers and presented with a key case and wallet and purse of money each, Mrs, Germaine McMillan and her Mother, Mrs, Stella LeBlane entertained at the home of Mrs, LeBlanc on Thursday the 26th for Jan Nelson. On behalf of fourteen of her friends present Germaine gave Jan a gift of matching jewellery and copper nut dish with their best wishes, During the evening a humorous scrap--- book was composed of Jan's days in Terrace Bay, and luncheon was served by the hostesses, Jan's Knitting Club held a farewell party for her two weeks ago at the home of Mrs, Vivian Hanna. A lively number of games were enjoyed and Jan received a jewel case from the group, Mrs, Ev Partington entertained for her son Jordy's fourth birthday on the 19th of September when twelve of his playmates enjoyed a party of games and treats before their birth--- day luncheon, Evelyn and George with Jordy and Drew returned home last week from a week spent in Fort William as guests of her Mother, Mrs. A, Hewson, : ' Betty and Butch Bouchard were in Fort William last week as guests of Butch!s Mother, Mrs, Oakley, Returning home with them was Betty's Mother, Mrs, J. Austin who will visit here for a couple of weeks, Glenna and Jim MacDonald with their kiddies Marlyn and Maureen returned Friday from their vacation spent in Yellow Grass, Sask. (cont'd page 5)
