For this reason, for the balance of the summer holidays we will ask all the boys in the Little League to turn out on Tuesday nights at 4:30. Perhaps then we will have ugh for a pick-up game each Tuesday. Wh School resumes regular games will starts e Pony League Last Sunday the Pony League journeyed to Marathon for their first out-of-town game of the season. Because they were short a few of their regulars they picked up three of the Little Leaguers to field a full team, Despite the fact that they lost the game 17- 9, the boys were not disappointed because they feel that they suffered the loss of regulars Joe Wig, Cliff Knauff, Colin Craig and Raymond Salesse, Big man for the locals was Dennis Bouchie with a perfect day at bat with four hits and a walk, All the players performed well, but a lack of hitting power cost them the game. Defensive standout for Terrace Bay was Doug Craig, catching his first game. Next game for the boys is scheduled this Sunday afternoon at the High School diamond, immediately after the softball game. Their opponents will again be Marathon. The boys will have several of their regulars back for this one so let's get out and give them some support. Ladies Softball First game of the season for the local ladies! team was played at the High School diamond on Tuesday night between the Ladies and the Pony Leaguers. Batterys were switched for this game with the Ladies! pitcher and catcher playing with the boys! team and the boy's pitcher and catcher playing with the Ladies! team. (cont'd. on Page 8 )
