TERRACE BAY FISH sND GAME CLUB A meeting of the Terrace Bay. Fish and Game Association was held on the «| "17th of February. This meeting had been publicized in the preceeding two issues of the Terrace Bay News. Due to the small attendance and. apparent lack of interest in the club activities it was decided that: (a) The stocking committee under the chairmanship of Bob Rickard will con- tinue on with the plans to stock 12 to 15 lakes and streams in the district during the following year, Avplications for the fish have already been forwarded. (b) A training program in the use of fire-arms be originated and put into operation, for the children of Terrace Bay and District, (c) The annual fish derby and dance be dropped from the club's schedule due to the lack of help to put this program over, The Hardball Association have offer- ed and are going to take over the sponsor- ship and operation of these two affairs, 0-0-0 BY-LAW NO, 45A of the Imperial District of Terrace Bay. Strutt, Secretary-Treasurer, 0-0-0 SECOND TERRACE BAY BROWNIE NEWS The Brownies of the Second Terrace Bay Pack, held a very successful Thinking Day Tea at the Community Church on Satur- day, February 19th from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m, The Golden Bar Brownies who served at their own individual tables were as follows: Darlene Gombola, Susan Wig, Diane Hubeny, Cathy Cavanaugh, Jane Skinner, Janis Coe, Betty Ann Rowson, Kit Knauff, Wendy Duncan, and Veronica Fedun, The receiving committee included Brown Owl Meek with the following Brownies: Janis McInnis, Margaret Ann Pineault, Christine Flater, Connie Connors, .Lela Petrus, Ella Jacobson, Velma LeBlanc, Ainsley Middaugh, Janis Gross, Mary Vachon, Aneta Lafontaine, The two tweenies were Beverly Dodge and Gail Slattery. Page 9 SECOND TERRACE BAY BROWNIES (Cont, ) Anderson poured, The table was centred with a Happy Birthday Cake, which the Brownies all énjoyed eating after the tea, Proceeds of the tea will be donated to a worthy cause, as this is the Brownies "Big Good Deed" for the year, THANK YOU We, the second Terrace Bay Brownie Pack ana Leaders, take this epportunity of thanking all the ladies who were so kind, as to donate danties for our tea, Also the Brownie Mothers, who donated' to- wards the sandwiches and the ladies who helped, and all who came and enjoyed the tea, making it a huge success, 0~0-0 BADMINTON NEWS The North Shore Badminton Association held thei 2nd annual tournament in Terrace Bay under the auspices of the Schreiber Badminton club, The Terrace Bay club certainly came up after their showing in Marathon in the lst tournament. The scores were Schreiber - 14 . Terrace - 9 Marathon - °7- The Terrace Clubs wins were as follows: Clarence Buck took the mens singles against both Sciwzeiber and Marathon. Laurie Marsh Singles against Marathon, Dick Day and Walter Fedechko won doubles against Marathon Lois Windle singles against Marathon, Laura Dawson singles. against Marathon, Cecile Boudreau and Gord Paget doubles against both Schreiber and Marathon, Lois Windle and Esther Keller doubles against Marathon, The next tournament will be on Sat--- urday afternoon March 12th in the high school auditorium.
