Date of Games and Venue February 26th and 27th on Home Ice of 2nd position team March lst and 2nd on Home Ice of 4th position team March 4th on Home Ice of 2nd position team, ¢=-0-0 JUVENILE HOCKEY SATURDAY FEBRUARY 5TH While the Superiors were winning their game in Geraldton, last Saturday our Juveniles won their own game with White River, The first period started with both teams making well organized rushes. Both goalies, L, Lamareau for White River and Terry McInnes for Terrace played exceptionally good games, The first goal was scored by Terrace near the 15 minute mark by Ron Marquis from B, Marsh. A roughing penalty was given to R. LeBlanc from Terrace and E, Dezyngel from White River, Early in the second period Terrace received two penalties but scored their second goal when back to full strength. This was scored by J. Marsh from R, Marcella, Three minutes later B, Marsh made a brilliant play from one end of the rink to the other and scored the thirdTerrace goal unassisted. Later in the period, with one man in the penalty box, Bob Adamo with an assist from B, Marquis made the score 4-0 for Terrace . B, Mealey from White River and B, Marsh for Terrace starred in this period with their excellent defensive play and for the attacks they lead. The last period threat- ened Terrace's scoring lead, D. Kenney scored the fifth goal for Terrace unassisted, but then B, Mealey's repeated attacks helped him score White River's first goal unassisted Soon B, Morgan from R. Morgan made the score 5-2. From this point on both goalies were able to stave off all attacks thus fin- ishing the game Terrace Bay 5, White River 2, Terry McInnes in the Terrace goal and B, Mealey for White River defence are to be commended on the ex- cellent game they played. Sandroni, Page 8 HOUSE LEAGUE HOCKEY Monday evening #3 Flyers were hosts to #2 Shift in a late game, #2 taking the Flyers to the tune of a 6-4 score, Je Delaronde, Harold Hall and Eldon Marostica were the stars of the game, Delaronde getting one goal and one assist. Hall getting 2 goals and one assist, Marostica one goal and two assist. Dejonghe scored solo and McNally and Timpano both got assists. The Fly2rs scored as follows: Kurylo from Cote, Kurylo from Cote, Kurylo unassisted and Ziegelman unassisted, There were twelve penalties handed out. Before the fans realized it the first period had ended -- with the score still 2-0, In the second peried numerous attempts were made by the "Soups" to get past the Schreiber defence but all were unsuccessful, Schreiber took over this period to score four excellent goals, by Cosgrove from Kirby, Thrower from K, Ross, Tookenay from Souliere, Thrower from B.
