AT THE RECREATION CENTRE MESTING ROOM, In 1954 the Stocking Committee of the local conservation club under chairman Bob Rickard did a very godd job of stocking the lakes in the surround- ing district, They certainly deserve a vote of thanks, not just from the adults of this community but from the children as well, They are trying to insure good fishing for the youngsters in years to come, More interested members are needed in the club if this work is to continue. If there are not enough interested sportsmen to carry on this work the one other alternative would be to disconiinue the club, Another club undertaking is the local fish derby. The past executive feel that some new ideas are needed to put the Derby over this year and hope that there are some sportsmen in Terrace Bay who will be willing to come out and take over this project, We have some hunting and fishing left in Northern Ontario let's protect what we have and try and built it up to what it used to be. Remember, a few people can't possibly carry out a successful program unless they have the help and cooperation of many. Be sure to attend this meeting and bring your hunting or fishing part- ner with you, 0-0-0 HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY MEETING FEBRUARY 17 fk: Pleaee. keep in mind the first regular meeting of our Society to be held Thursday, Feb, 17 at 8:00 p.m, An inter. esting programe is being planned and although arrangements are not yet complete it is hoped thet a representative of the Wills Nursery, Fort William will be in attendance, 0-0-0
