Since November last year, the Credit Union has loaned $10,602.00 in 74 loans. _ Breaking it down to an average it simply means that 74 people borrowed 143340 each from the Credit Union to help them along in their every day lives, Loans are mostly made on character and naturally you ma belong to ae Credit Union, . You can readily see that the Credit Union is fulfilling its purpose, and that is to provide low-cost loans as well as insurance to cover these loans at no extra cost. It was passed on a vote to send a dele- gate to the coming Toronto Convention of the .Federation of Home and School Associations, Miss Cathy Smith and her pupils gave a demonstration of puppets and a show telling the story of the Three Bears and Red Riding Hood, This had been previously recorded on the school's tape recorder, with the vupils working the puppets for the evening's performance, Miss Smith then spoke on art and it's various forms of sculpturing and molding which was used all the way through elementary school to Grade 9, Mr. Ray Kenney showed a very inter- esting film for all parents of teen- agers, entitled "The Years of Turmoil", This film covered the difficulties and adjustments of the 12 to 16 year old and their parents, Both Miss Suith and Mr, Kenney were thanked for an exceedingly interesting programme, o-0-0 ae AND SCHOOL ASSOCIATION BAKE SALE The Bake Sale put on by the Home and School Association will be held on - Saturday, January 29 and not the 28 as" previously annourced., The Sale will be held in Bucovetsky's Store at 10:30 a.m
