Volume 4, Now 44 LARGEST CIRCULATION IN TERRACE BAY ANNUAL HALLOWEEN PARTY HELD SAT, OCTOBER 30 On Saturday, October 30th, 195k. the Kiwanis Club of Terrace Bay held their Annual Halloween Party in the High School Auditorium. The party was for all children up to and including age 13. And all children in Terrace Bay up to age 13 must have been at the party. The party began at 6:30 p.m M. O, Nelsonwas master cf ceremonies. The children began parading around the hall in respective age groups to qualify for the prizes, All the children's costumes were excellent and the judging job was a difficult one. Miss Fran Caddy and Mrs, Barbara Brady were the judges. The prize winners were as follows: Best Dressed Boy up to 7 years = Ted Brown Best Dressed Girl up to 7 years ~ Joanne Brown Best Dressed Boy 8 ~ 9 - 10 years ~ Owen Turner Best Dressed Girl 8 - 9 - 10 years - Kathy Cavanaugh Best Dressed Boy 11 and up ~ George Denis Best Dressed Girl 11 and up - Sandra Locking Best Comic - Jackie Jessop Most Original ~- Ronnie Schock Judge's Award - Jeannine Briggs The treasure hunt must have been a tough one for neither the Junior or Senior treasures were found, Following the judging the clowns did several acts one act in particular being (Cont. on next col.) Navember 4, 195k. ANNUAL HALLOWEEN PARTY HELD (Cont.) a successful operation by "the Doctor" on a sick clown, An elephant and a horse were very much in evidence at the party and they probably were the star attract--- ions of the show., Two movies were also shown to the children. The party concluded at §:30 with the children being given a bag of treats as they left the hall. Halloween night concluded with the High School Students Council holdin, a very successful Halloween frolic, 0-0-0 HIGH SCHOOL COMMENCEMENT EXERCISES FRIDAY Would the parents of the High School students, and others who may be interested, please make a special effort to attend the Commencement Exer- cises to be held this Friday, November =| ' at 8:00 pem. The graduating students, their parents, the members of the Board and the Staff are invited to remain for tea at the conclusion of the Exer- cisess o-0-0 BOY SCOUT CHRISTMAS TOY SHOP The Scout Troop of Terrace Bay ar looking for broken toys to repair in th next few weeks, The mended toys will b. presented to needy children in this distri. so that their Christmas will be a happicr one.
