On Sunday Terrace Bay All-Stars were matched against LongLac in'the first . game, Terrace Bay proved much too strong ° for LongLac knocltirgthem out of the tourn- ament by a score of 12 to 1, Aho pitched steady ball allowing LongLac 2 hits giving only three walks and chalking up seven (Cont. on next col.) PobOd TERRACE BAY TRANS WIN (Gout) strike outs, 'Bill Hanley did an effective job behind the plate, Moro and Krahn provided good hitting power; Moro 4 for 5, Krahn 3 for 4, and chalking up one Home Run apiece;from Two LongLac pitchers Terrace got 13 hits for 12 rms, The second game on Sunday saw Terrace T-M team against Schreiber, Schreiber were to gét the "by", but the Fort William Aces could not arrive on Sunday so that Schreiber relinquished their "by", Terrace T-M team won this game by a 12-3 score, Zwaresh and Woods were the Terrace Bay battery, Zwaresh counted 9 strike outs, one base on balls. Schreiber got nine hits, but Terrace played good ball to allow three runs only. Terrace got eight hits but they all 'payed off especially "Meat" Campbell's two big homers, one in the fourth and then again in the fifth driving in a total five'-runs. For the third game of the day Gerald- ton beat Beardmore 13 to 4. This started out to look like good baseball, but Beardmore's pitchers just didn't have it on the ball, Geraldton scored in every inning but one and it was soon evident that Beardmore could hit the road home, Sunday A.M, Game the Best At 10:30 asm, Sunday 'before a good crowd fortified by lots of hot coffee, the Fort William Aces played Geraldton in the semi-finals, This was the best game of the tournament, Both teams being evenly matched. At the end of four innings of play Geraldton led the scoring by 1 to 0, Then Fort William uncorked in the fifth with two home runs for a total of three in the inning. Geraldton didn't get the breaks in that inning, they made a few errors otherwise they could have put out the three run fire. Gerald. ton fought back hard but remained scoreless until the seventh, They threatened in this inning but could only squeeze one run across the plate for a final score of Fort Willian ws Geraldton 2, Monday's games were washed out cxcert that the two Terrace Bay teams braved the elements to decide the play off spot with Fort William, On a very slow heavy track Terrace 'Bay All Stars beat Terrace.
