Memorial Trophy for the 4th year in a row, Thrilisand spills were the highlights of the game ard the final score (9-5) in no way indicated the play. (You had to be there to appreciate it), Led by "Shorty" Hunt with 3 goals the "Palefaces' showed right from the beginning that they meant business, "Beaker" Rowley, "Pills" Waghorn and "10%" Marostica notched two each and for "Lunchpails" "Chick" Janicki starred with his hat trick, with "High Ball" Mikus and "Duke" Duquette contri- buting to the cause with one each, The *Rookie" Award went to Doc Cempbell of the """Palefaces", This is awarded annually to the players who, in the opinion of the Judges, plays a clean, aggressive brand of hockey, (Overheard after the game from the enemy camp - "The only thing clean about that guy was his sweater"!!!), "Eagle-Eye" Falzetta, interviewed after the game, expressed a desire to Sign up with Palm Dairies next year and when queried for his reason mumbled some-- thing about "Work like a herse - might just as well get paid for one", _ "Mush" Marsh was warned by Coach Paul Boudreau a number of times about smoking cigars in the players box but after explaining it was "one of them Rum-soaked kind and good far my system" he was allowed to continue his questionable indulgence, All in all it was an enjoyable game although it was generally agreed that if "Clipper" Kulcheski applied himself as diligently to his hockey as he did to noting prospective customers among the players, he might have hit the scoring column, EDITORS NOTH: A persistent rumour has been circulated around the mill that the actual score in this game was 5-5. However a check with Hoster Fewitt confirm: that the"Palefaces"won again,
