HUDSON'S BAY EVENT Activity in this bonspiel wound.up this past weekend with the Winners' side shaping up like this:- Jim MacDonald defeated Doug Harris to advance into the "4's", From there he went on to trim Jack Wellings in a neat game and the next action will have to await the outcome of the game scheduled between Rune Ostling and Thor Olsen, This one should be a humdinger to watch and is scheduled for Sunday evening at 9 PM. The winner will take on our "Whiz Kid" (Jim MacD.) for the Hudson's Bay Trophy. : On the other side of the picture, play has progressed to the point where Nels Allen and Frank Ross will play off on Sunday even- ing, 9 PM, and the winner will take on Tommy Latour's rink for the Consolation Champion- ship, Both Frank and Nels have a strong threesome behind them and their game will be interesting to watch. However, Tommy isn't at all worried about the final outcome as he has Glen Lumbers, Ned West and Ken Hutchinson rarin' to go for the"prize money', Imperial Bank Trophy Probably without question this is the most coveted event of our local Curling Club as it represents the "Club Championship". To- wards this end the ever helpful Ladies of the Curling Club have taken over the supply- ing of Hot Dogs, Chili Con Carne, Sandwiches and Pie, so that curlers, and lcokers-on- alike, will be assured of all the vitamins they need, Let's hope the boys will get behind this effort and help in every way possible, Just one more little reminder on Curl- ing Dues fellas!!
