DiittiTO. DY CuLeBR. TION Plans for the Dominion Day Celebration scheduled for July 2nd are moving into high gear. This celebration, sponsored by the Terrace Bay Accident Proventd on Committee, is designed to include 11 LongLac employees and their fomilies as well as all other Terrace Bay residents, Questionnaires have been circulated to all of the above through LongLac foremen and Community businesses and free tickets will be distributed carly next week on e« basis of questionnaire returns, These free tickets, four of which will go to everyone planning on attending, will be good for refreshments such as soft drinks, hot dogs, chocolate bars, ice crean, cracker jack, gum, etc., as well as Bingo and Golf Driving, In certain instances, more then one ticket will be required to procure an item. This will be clearly indicated on the program which will accomp- any the free tickets, .S for events, a wide variety is planned, One of the highlights, of course, will be the Dress Parade for Kiddies divided into two age oor. - 7 years and under and 8 years and over, Each youngster should bring along ec Eaaadatod tricycle, bicycle or doll carringe. There will also be children's reces up to and including the 13 year olds, For students and adults: sock rece, couples 3 legged rxce and tug-o'-wnr, For boys end girls 12 - 17, bicycle reces, nd for the indies, a husband calling contest, Tournements will include golf, horse- shoes and bait casting, 4. fish derby is also being considered, During the afternoon festivities et the Lower Camp Bnll Field there will be Bingo, with ~11 proceeds going right back into prizes, Nobody makes a profit on this bingo except the winners, In the evening a big street dance will be held to climax activities, In the event of rain, 2 as possible will be transferred to the Recr- eation Hall including the bingo ond dance. This will permit those players who wish to Go so, to leave Friday on a long weekend and at the Same time cllow the Community Services players to add Wednesday evenings to their half-day off, The ball diamond at the school play- ground is making excellent headway and if it proves advisable, the balance of the sched- ule may be played there, PW L Pts.
