Due to adverse weather and other unfavourable conditions, the party of four cars pretty nearly never made it, But with a great deal of determination and a little luck, the party finelly arrived at their destination about 5 hours behind schedule, The game was played in the new Fort William Gardens on Sunday morning, The first period looked pretty bad for Terrace Bay when the Fort William team took a 3-0 lead, But in the second period Jackie Marsh gave our team a start by scoring on a shot from about 5 feet out after a dandy pass from Terry Cava- naugh, 'The play see-sawed back and forth in the second period and early in the third, the Same duo teamed up again when Cavanaugh scored on a pass from Marsh to make it 3-2. Great Lakes then came back to take a 4-2 lead but Cavanaugh got that one back assisted by Marsh again and Doug Smith, The tying goal came off Paul Marcella's stick and shortly after that Cavanaugh scored again to put Terrace Bay in the lead 5-4. In the closing minutes of the game, Great Lakes tied it up again and that's how the game ended - 5 all. Only one penalty was handed out to our lads and that went to hand hitting Johnny Galvin, Duc to Joo Adano's brilliant coach- ing, tho sportsmanship nd playing. of the whole team, tho playcrs came back well satisficd.
