Dancing will get under- way at 10:00 p.m, with music by "The Marathonians". At 11:00 p.m, there will be a Waltz Contest" with a prize for the winning couple and following the midnight . Intermission, draws will be made for the door prize and also the Hudson's Bay Blankets. ° These draws will be followed at 12:15 by a "Mystery Dance," An hour later a "Jive Contest" will be staged with the winning couple again receiving a prize. Dancing will | then continue until 2:00 p.m. Master of Ceremonies for the evening will be Ed; Brady. Tickets for the evening are only $2.00 per couple and the admission price.includes free checking. Refreshments will be available at a nominal cost, Dress for the event will be optional, Without a doubt, the Second Annual Valentine Ball will be one of the highlights of the current season, Don't miss it! i ; ah 9-0-0 a ; TERRACE BAY SCORES: 87: VICTORY OVER MARATHON IN, NORTH SHORE LEAGUE G:ME _ Last Sunday afternoon at Marathon, Terrace Bay Rockets finally broke into the win column in the North Shore League with an 8-7, victory over Marathon Mercurys. It was actually a see-saw battle and anyboy's game. As a. matter of fact, with jus' seconds of regulation time left, Terrace Bay's Bev. Smiley fired one into the Marathon net on he pass from Keeley, to score the winning goal, ee The first period was slow with the "Rockets" getting the only goal on a shot by Holancin, the assist going to Keeley. ae - In the second period, Marathon chalked up three counters to take a 3-1 lead, on goals by McCarthy, McCullough and Drury, with assists credited to Crosby, Drury and Fortier. As the third period got underway, Marathon increased.their lead to 4-1 on a goal from Moisan assisted by Cummings and then Terrace Bay tied the score with three quick goals by Larocque, Diduch and Holancin as Ganja, Larocque and Keeley got credit for assits. On a goal from McCarthy from Fortier and Dafoe Marathon took a 5=4 lead but. Holancin . " put Terrace Bay out in front again with two fast goals on assists from Larocque and Sernesky, Then Marathon scored two in short order to make it 7-6 in their favour with Fortier and Dafoe doing the honours assisted by Franklin, McCarthy and Crosby, Larocque teamed with Holancin to even matters up, however, and as previously recorded the final results were then in doubt until Smiley scored for Terrace Bay with 20 seconds to go. During the game, Holancin scored 4 times for the Rockets while picking up en assist,while Keeley and Larocque turned in fine performances which added much to the final results, As a matter of fact, all the boys played a good brand of hockey from all reports, A sizeable Terrace Bey rooting section helped: the local team considerably.
