At the beginning of 1947 fewer than a dozen families inhabited the Townsite. Today. more than 80 families reside at Terrace Bay. i During the year now ending, great strides have been made in the development of both | Mill and Townsite. Community Services have expanded. Clubs, Associations and Organiza- tions have taken shape that augur well for the future of this fast growing Community. As a modern, well planned Community, Terrace Bay has many eyes upon it. The idealism} which hasbeen apparent in so many instances has fired the imagination of members of this new Community. The role we are playing in the development of Northwestern Ontario ALS et true source of satisfaction, The Community spirit which is developing is much to be desired. : As a weekly publication devoted to the interests of everyone associated with this project, we have endeavoured totell the story of Terrace Bay as it developed. To all who have contributed\to this objective in any way during the past year -our personal thanks is expressed, \To all of our readers we extend our best wishes for a Merry Chrictmas and a Happy \New Year, F. 0, Soughton, Editor-in-Chief Terrace Bay News.
