Page ee SAFETY FIRST DURING HUNTING SEASON The hunting season is nearly upon us and a few cautions are in order, Every so often someone is killed or seriously injured by the discharge of a firearm and too often we hear the plea: " I didn't know it was loaded", When a firearm is being used for hunting every precaution should be taken by the user who should check to be certain of the condition of the weapon. It is a well known fact that a hunter should wear brightly coloured clothes-- yet too often this is overlooked, ; And never, under any circumstances, should anyone fire blindly into a clump of bushes, too many people are killed by just such negligence, Now a word about the use of firearms in the immediate vacinity of Terrace Bay. We understand that a regulation will be posted shortly making it illegal to dis- charge a firearm anywhere within a radius of 2 miles from the Terrace Bay Post Office. We feel certain that everyone will appreciate the necessity for this regulation and will co-operate with the authorities to see that it is enforced, REMEMBER WHEN HUNTING - THERE IS NO SUBSTITUTE FOR SAFATY ge. Terrace Bay News, published weekly at Terrace Bay, Ontarie is devoted to the interests of everyone connected with the Long Lac Pulp and Paper Company Limited project of the j Kimberly-Clark Corporation. ; Bditor-inChief, F.0.
