One third of the entire steel to be used in mill construction is in the intricate maze of Boiler House framework erected es -o00- OFFICERS ELECTED FOR FISH & GAME ASSOCTATION The Terrace Bay Branch of the Thunder Bay District Fish and Game Association held an election meeting on Aug. 7, 1947, at which the following officers were clected: President - Doug Johnson Vice-Pres. - Ed Cavanaugh Sr. Sec.-Treas, - Tom Kelly Executive Committee - Rupe Clowes Dave MacDonald Ted Jones, Jr. George Coulter After the eleetions, a short discussion period was held during which future plans of the Association were discussed. Plans for the proposed dinner meeting to be held in September were briefly outlined and it was proposed that the guest speaker for the meeting be Major P.K. Ketchson, Secretary of the Carling's Conservation Club. It was agreed that the Terrace Bay Branch of the Fish and Game Association as- sume the sponsorship of the current Anglers! Contest. It is likely the prizes for the contest will be given out at the September meeting. -o00- ANGLERS' CONTEST Last Sunday Peter Leschuk of Fraser-Brace caught a 12 lb. 7 oz. pike, 40 inches long, in Sawmill Lake, to capture first place in Class III of the Anglers' Contest. McCormack 2 pay Loess -o0o- A YEAR AGO THIS WEEK AT TERRACE BAY .The railroad spur to the Millsite was under eonstruction........clearing and burning at the Millsite continued prior to commencement of construction work........clearing was nearly completed for the new road out to the Trans Canada highway. In the Lower Camp the Stores Dept. moved into the new warehouse thereby releasing the storeroom at the south end of the garage for use as a tool crib........a tinsmith and plumbing shop was being erected. In the Townsite 13 house foundations were finished....... one house had been erected.
