Page 4, MEETING OF ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH MEN (Cont'd) Catholic men are requested to attend as a number of important matters will be discussed, HI JINKS OF THE YOUNGER GENERATION The first formal dance of the youngest social set of Terrace Bay was held on Saturday night, July 26, in the basement of house #74. Hostesses on this epic occasion were Frances Jones and Louise Christianson, The dance "Hall" was tastefully decorated with pink and blue streamers, As the guests arrived in full evening regalia they were conducted to the basement by Louise and Frances to enjoy an evening of fun and dancing. Music was supplied for dancing by a gramaphone kindly loaned for the occasion by Mr. & Mrs. DeLong. A dainty lunch was served at 9.30 by Mrs, Jones and Mrs. Christianson after which the guests bid their hostesses good-night and worn out from their evening's fun left for their homes, The guests of the evening were Anne Christianson, Valerie McDonald, Jeannie & Virginia Covington, Helen Laundy, Laurie, Jack & Billie Marsh. Visitors who dropped in to view the unusual event and join in the fun were: Mr. & Mrs. DeLong Mrs. Butcher, Mrs. Lowe, Mrs. Isbester and of course our popular photographer, Arnold Mantere, It would be hard to say which group of "kiddies" enjoyed the evening the most, but all are looking forward to a similar evening at some future date, LET'S HELP A MAN DO HIS JOB One of the most conscientious workers at Terrace Bay is Sam Kosteniuk who supervises the collection and disposition of our garbage.' Ordinarily, Sam is a happy-go-lucky individual with a ready smile for everyone, (As a matter of fact, many a Townsite youngster already aspires to Sam's job - they even argue about it at play.) The other day, Sam came into our office minus his usual smile, As a matter of fact he was really quite concerned - and rightly so! Some of us were getting careless about the way we were putting out our garbage and Sam figured we should mention in the "Terrace Bay News" that garbage and ashes should be put out in separate covered receptacles and all garbage should be wrapped, ; We hope Sam, that this little note bears results and thanks for the reminder, A YEAR AGO THIS MONTH AT TERRACE BAY (Comparisons are very interesting. This is particularly true when, at a project such as this, so much happens in so short a time. From time to time in "Terrace Bay News't we hope to take a look at things as they were a few months ago, a year ago or perhaps longer - EDITOR-IN-CHIEF )
