Guess who.) ia BRUSH PAINTING }ROM LADDERS Brush pointers should take every precaution in climbing and working from ladders. Impor~ tant safety suggestions include the following: (1) Make sure the ladder is without defects, that it has suitable safety feet, and that it rests against solid backing at a safe angle of about 75 degrees with the ground level. (2) Have plenty of clearance at each side, also in front cf and behind the ladder. (3) If the ladder stands in front of a doorway, lock the door or have someone guard it. Protect the ladder from traffic, if necessary. (4) Face the ladder and hold on with both hands whenever climbing up or down. (5) Do not lean a ladder against wine dow sash; fasten a board to the ladder top as a bearing on each side of the window frame. (6) Hang the paint bucket from a ladder rung by a suitable hook; hold to the ladder with one hand while painting. (7) It is dangerous to reach out too far in any direction from a ladder; climb down and move the ladder, as may be necessary. (8) When using 2 stepladder, be sure it is opened all the way before climbing it. ; HERE AND THERE -o0o- Mr. C. W. Nelson, Vice President, and Mr, J. L. Mr. H.S.Craig, Manager of LongLac Pulp and Paper, who was also here last week, left Saturday for Tcronto,. -o0o= , Mr. G. R. Stephen of Fraser-Brace arrived Thursday evening, May 22nd, from Sudbury, for a short visit. -c0o= Mr. S. M. Neuville of Montreal and Mr. B.F.Smith of Neenah, Wisconsin, arrived Friday evening, May 23rd, for a short stay at Terrace Bay. -c0o= Those of you who have rescrted to curlers in an attempt to manage those luxuriant growths of unshorn locks, need despair no longer. It's here, and it's funetioning. The barber shcp, of course! Mr. Tom Kelly, the barber, gave his first tonsorial operation (short for hair cut) on Thursday, p.m., May 22nd.
