The meeting was opened by Fred Soughton who briefly reviewed the activities of the Protestant Church at Terrace Bay during its first six months of services which were held through the collaboration of Rev. 0.G.Barrow (Anglican Church) and Rev. A. F. Lavender (United Church) both of Schreiber. Dave McDonald spoke briefly and George Coulter read the financial report coverin . : vi o the six months of operation. Both were members of the committee. The throe-man committee then resigned making room for a larger committee. A committee of seven composed of five men and two women was proposed and carried. Elected to this committee were: Mrs. 7. M. McCausland, Mrs, Harold Marsh, Marvin Lemon, --- James Isbester, Fred Soughton, Dr. MeCeusland and Bob Sheppard. The minutes of the meeting were recorded by Marg. Dadds. The election was con- ducted by Rev. A. F. John or "Pop! as ne is known to a few, keeps a constant vigil at our crossing over the C.P.R. tracks. "Pop" is out in 211 kinds of weather but he never shirks his duty for his own comfort as he watches out for the safety of those who use the crossing. His never-failing smile and happy greeting every time you cross the tracks makes you appreciate this man for more than the protection which his presence affords. We are happy to say that since John his held this all-important pest, no accidents have occurred at the crossing.
