Club professionals Paula Bouchard and_ Edith Figliomeni presented skill badges to Canskate and Can- figureskate skaters. Test skaters Jodi Figliomeni and Kristina Walsh received crests for Canadian Figure Skating Association tests they passed this year. In trophy presenta- tions, the awards for Most Improved Skater went to Erica Gentile, Chelsey Trem- blay and Lesley Pellegrino. 'The Most Dedicated Skater awards went to Courtney Miller, Krista Mills and Lin- nea Duffy and receiving awards for Most sportsman- like Skater were Amanda Bourguignon,Chantelle Davis meets each Monday and Thursday evenings at 8 pm at the Community Church in Terrace Bay *The Catholic Women's League meets every second Monday of the month in the basement of St. Martin Church at 8 pm. *The Chimo Club hold its regular meeting every third Friday of the month. In April, however, the meeting will be held April 24 because of Good Friday. *The Disability Action Group meets every third Thursdsay of the month at 7 pm at the Tourist Information Centre. Students in grade 2, 4 and 7/8 each put together a box containing items which describe what life is like here. The grade 2 class is linked with a grade 2 class in Missis- sauga, Ont.; the grade 4 class with a class in Elmira, Ont.; are met. Each box contains items such as wood chips from Kim- berly Clark, iron ore from Min- nova, rocks, driftwood, Schreiber buttons, a class pic- ~ ture and post cards. In addition to those items, each box contains a personal note from the class addressed to the teacher at the other school. The discovery boxes were sent by Greyhound bus to the three other classes last Wednesday afternoon. In tum, the classes in Schreiber will receive discovery boxes from the other students. The program itself is part of Canada's 125th birthday cele- brations.
