The pool staff selected Leigh for several reasons. She has an outstanding attendance at lessons and recently com- pleted the Grey level of the Red Cross program. She is a swimmer who has a polite atti- tude and sets a great example for young swimmers. The Tommy Duriez Trophy has been presented annually to the outstanding swimmer of Terrace Bay, in memory of Tommy Duriez, a young boy who passed away over 20 years ago.
