Page 3, News, Tuesday, June 11, 1991 North Shore Fun Run They walked ran and cycled, skateboarded and strolled with infants, all 4,712 of them, in this years North Shore Fun Run, sponsored by the North Shore Recreation Director's Association. Terrace Bay came in second, in number of participants with 760 closely followed by Schreiber with 695 participants. Manitouwadge, for the third year in a row , had the most participants with 798. The township of Beardmore had the highest percentage of its population, 47.5 percent or 240 people, take part in the run. In Schreiber awards were given to the largest family participating, the youngest participant and the oldest participants. The Miller family, (top) Max, Anne, Lindsay, Julie, Jan, Courtney and Meghan received the largest family award. The eldest participant awards went to Al Slater and Esther Clinton (middle). Kyle Lindsay, ( bottom,with his parents Kerri and Chad) received the youngest participant award. The awards were presented by Janet Moorey, member of the Schreiber Recreation Committee. The Corporation of the Township of Terrace Bay The Township of Terrace Bay require six students for summer employment, four under Public Works and two under the Administrative Office. Public Works requires four students to handle maintenance and clean-up tasks within the Township. Administrative Office requires two students, a file clerk and a data entry clerk. The file clerk will be responsible for organiz- ing the Township archive files. The data entry Clerk will be organizing our by-laws. The students will work approximately nine weeks starting the end of June. The Closing date for applications will be June 20, 1991.
