The proposed work will include the elimination of frost heaves and pavement distortions, improvement to the riding quality of the driving surface and rehabilitation of the shoulders... Realignment of Highway 17 at three separate locations is proposed to improve traffic service and safety on this section of Highway 17. The urban sections in Terrace Bay and Schreiber will be reconstructed and paved. These studies will follow a Class Environmental Assessment process approved for highway projects of this type.
