In the nearly two decades that I've lived in northern Saskatchewan, the Northwest Territories, or northern Ontario, I've sensed a ' growing pride among north- erncrs that we not only like who we are and where we live, but that those grinding out their lives on expressways in the south have nothing on us. We have fewer problems with crime, housing, and smog - not to mention traffic. We adults seem have to sold ourselves on the advantages of being a northerner.
