The snow is not even off the field and we must start thinking of the summer programs. There will be a very important meeting for all leagues and groups requiring field time for the 1990 ball league season on Wednesday, April 11th at 7:00 p.m. in meeting room #1 of the rec complex. Any leagues wish- ing field time and tournament . time should be in attendance. Winnie's Scribbles By Winnie Campbell The Chimo Club Meeting was held on March 16th with vice- President Jack Handel presiding. A minute's silence was observed in respect to the memory of Bob Kragero. Jack Handel reported on the meetings he had attended in Schreiber of the Community Services Branch and future meet- ings to be held in Nipigon and Terrace Bay which he expected to attend. Leona Fournier reported on the successful Soup and Sandwich Luncheon held during Carnival week, and thanked all who had donated food, worked in the kitchen, servitors, and all who had supported the venture. She was also thanked for painting the kitchen last month. Irene Kettle gave a report on the Lifeline and that 20 units had been installed to date. She also reported 'on' the' proposed* Handi: * Transit bus and service to be pro- vided. Marg McKenna reported on sending Get Well cards to mem- bers in hospital and a sympathy card and read notes received as "Thank-you's". Yvonne Mallais reminded members of the Senior tourna- ments at Birchwood Terrace dur- ing the week of March 26-30. Birthday greetings were sung to: Bob Fournier, Etta Gray, Jeanne Huard, Helen Wallace, Yvonne Mallais, and Marg Tiboni. Eva Gordon and Jack Handel were Ist in shuffleboard- 2nd were Leona Fournier and Alma Hart. The bridge winners were: Ist- Pat Guina & 2nd- Yvonne Mallais. The Chimo Home Bingo was won by Garneau, W. Campbell, and Mrs. Rippengal. A pot luck supper was held and enjoyed by all.
