Participants must be 16 years of age or older. The N.C.C.P.'s goal is to prepare coaches, so they can provide athletes with the best possible coaching. Topics will include: Planning, Role of the Coach, Growth and Development, Sport Safety, The Analysis of Skills, Development of Skills, and Physical Preparation. To register contact the Rec Centre at 825-3542 -- March Break- On Friday, March 16, the Rec Centre hosted a Pool Tournament for 8 to 15 year olds. Congratulations to all those pool sharks, who patiently spent the day with us in the Games Room. Division A- 8-11 year olds- Champion is Nicolas Delignac, Consolation Champ- the ice in the arena. The snow is not even off the field and we must start thinking of the summer programs. There will be a very important meeting for all leagues and groups requiring field time for the 1990 ball league season on Wednesday, April 11th at 7:00 p.m. in meeting. room #1 of the rec complex. Any leagues wish- ing field time and tournament time should be in attendance. Schreiber Figure Skate Carnival- The Schreiber Figure Skate-Club will be conducting it's final performance "The Wizard of Oz" on Saturday, March 31st at 7:00 p.m. Bring the entire family out to watch as our own little munchkins, Dorothy, and Toto foil the wicked witch in her attempts to beat the Wizard of Oz. Summer Programs- The Rec Department is in dire need of vol- unteers to coach, umpire or refer- ee for our minor ball and soccer programs. We cannot operate these programs without volun- teers so please contact the Rec Office at 824-2317. NCCP Level 1 Theory Course- The only National Coaching Certification Program Level 1 Theory Course to be held in this area is scheduled for Terrace Bay on May 11-13. Contact Terrace Bay Rec Centre at 825-3542. Ball Hockey- The Rec Department is accepting names of persons 16 years of age and over who are interested in forming a ball hockey league. We are anticipating operating from the middle of April to the end of June. Contact rec office as soon as possible. Programs- There are still a few openings left in the following programs: First Aid- April 21, C.PR.- April 28, Adult Ballroom Dance- April 28 & 29.
