Star Recorder Helen Almos chaired the meeting with 15 co-workers present. -- Helen Almos was congratulat- ed on being a member for 25 years. She was presented with her 25 year pin by Recorder Sadie Benko. A letter was read from the Moose Mixed and Ladies dart league asking the members if they were willing to cater for their banquet on May 12. All members were in favor of doing the supper, Convenor and co- convenor to be picked at next meeting. The next meeting will be held on April 1. Women's League were read by Marilyn; Diane then gave the treasurer's report. Sharyn read a newsletter on the Convention to be held May 8- 10 at St. Agnes Parish in Thunder Bay. Lillian had memberships for Pro Life and asked about medals to be ordered for the new babies born at the local hospital. Sunday, April Ist will be Solidarity Sunday to make people more aware of the third World Countries. All parishioners are urged to attend and participate. Father Campbell reminded members that the Way of the Cross is said every Friday at 7:00 p.m. Lunch was served by Sharyn and Maria at the close of the meeting. After the Information Centre, a period of thirty days is available for public submissions on the preliminary proposals before the draft Timber Management Plan is prepared. During this time, the displays and information will continue to be available for review at the Ministry of Natural Resources office in Manitouwadge. Written comments should be submitied by May 26th, 1990. Come out to the Public Information Centre. Your comments and knowledge of the area are important in the production of a good Timber Management Plan! The Draft Timber Management Plan will be available for public review and comment on November 1st, 1990 and the approved plan on March ist, 1991.
