Thunder Bay Open Comp. The Schreiber Figure Skating Club entered sixteen skaters at the Thunder Bay Open Competition on March 2 & 3. Our skaters were led by profes- sional coach Elaine Moriarty to compete in a variety of events against skaters from 12 other clubs in the north western divi- sion. A total of 10 medals were awarded to our competitors: 3 gold, 2 silver, 5 bronze and 5 - 4th place ribbons. Results from the competition are as follows: Pre-Juvenile Ladies Singles B Flight 1: Lindsay Miller placed 3rd- bronze medal; Flight 2: Jodi Figliomeni placed 4th - ribbon. Pre-Juvenile Mens Singles B: Jason Imbeault placed 3rd - bronze medal. Preliminary Ladies B: Maria Elkin placed 9th. Juvenile Ladies Interpretive: Natalie McParland placed 11th, Shellie McParland placed 12th. Novice Ladies Interpretive Flight 1: Julie Miller placed 4th - ribbon, Maria Elkin placed 8th; Flight 2: Lindsay Miller placed 1st - gold medal, Kimara Morrill placed 14th. Junior Ladies Interpretive: Jodi Figliomeni placed 8th. Junior Mens Interpretive: Jason Imbeault placed Ist - gold medal. Can-Figure Skate or Pre- Junior Ladies Singles- 8 years and older Flight 3: Kimara Morrill placed Sth. Can-Skate Ladies Singles "A" Flight 1 : Courtney Miller placed 2nd - silver medal, Brittany Glad placed 4th - ribbon; Flight 2: Shellie McParland placed 1st - gold medal. Can-Skate Ladies Singles "B" Flight 1: Natalie McParland placed 3rd - bronze medal, Jaime Glad placed Sth, Karen Wilson placed 6th; Flight 2: Barbie Wilson placed.3rd - -bronze medal, Jan Miller placed 4th - ribbon; Flight 3: Kaitlin Glad placed 4th - ribbon, Donna Park placed 7th. All are members of the Schreiber Figure Skating Club. efforts and sportsmanship shown by all of the skaters who entered this competition. Congratulations also go to skaters who travelled to Manitouwage on Saturday, February 24 for Test Day. Sal Figliomeni passed Preliminary Figures and Preliminary Free Skate. Lindsau Miller and Jason Imbeault passed the Swing Dance and have now successfully com- pleted all of the required dances for the Preliminary Dance. Sincere thanks to the many Page 3.
