Present were:Reeve Jim Ziegler, Councillors: C. Joubert, M. King ,and J. St. Amand,,and staff: D. Fulton. A delegation led by Freda Boucher met with Council to request that something be done about the property at 230 MacDonald. Their concern is the "erosion of sand, the safety hazard, and the unattractive appearance which devalues their property. Council explained that they did check into the problem, and improvements to the property are estimated to cost between $8,000 and $10,000, which the bank is not willing to spend. The Township does not have any by- laws to regulate the condition. Council has checked with their lawyer and legally there is noth- ing that can be donebut will check into the problem further. The auger for the snow blower has arrived, and was in operation today. It seems to be working fine. All members of Council will be authorized to attend the 1990 Ontario Budget Municipal Action Plan Regional Campaign Meeting in Thunder Bay, Friday, March 16, at the expense of the munici- pality. All members of Council will be authorized to attend the Municipal Police Authorities Seminar to Prepare MPA Response to Police Services Act in Thunder Bay on Saturday, March 17 at the expense of tne municipality. The Council of the Township of Terrace Bay request Ministry of Transportation subsidy on 1989 expenditures of $224,361.00. Council approved the 1990 estimated subsidizable roads expenditures in the total amount of $183,500.00. Three flags will be purchased from Ethel's Flag Service at a cost of $165.00 each. The $600.00 cost of the build- ing permit fee for the Golf Clubhouse will be waived. Dean Main, Tom Falzetta, Brian Montey, and Kerry Quenelle will attend the Ontario Arena Association-Seminar in Marathon on Feb 28 at the expense of the municipality. J. Wilcox will attend the Ontario Municipal Social Services Association Zone II Annual Spring Seminar in Thunder Bay on April 19-20 at the expense of the municipality.
