ge T IBER NEWS Wednesday, December 20, 1989 St. John's Anglican Church Bazaar Many worked hard to make this event such a SUCCESS St. John's Anglican Church \.azaar was held at the Legion Hall, Sat., Nov. 25 in Schreiber. Table top Christmas trees, bright with lights and gifts for both the young and old welcomed everyone. Many different and unique crafts were displayed for sale, all were made by our talented ladies of the church. A delicious meal of creamed turkey pastries, coleslaw, potato sulad, assorted jellied salads etc... and plates of scrumptious goodies were enjoyed by all. A big thanks to all who p.rticipated and helped make a siuiccessful bazaar especially the A.C.W. and to all who worked v ith the food and kitchen chores. Merry Christmas to all. The door prize of a Christmas table centre was won by Mrs. C. Carlino. Other draws were a kitchen hand crafted clock won by Mrs. Chris Bolan - A Christmas wagon by Arlene Godin - The "white" Christmas cuke by Sylvia Stortini and the "dark" cake by Faye Figliomeni. Members of the Fire Departments and the Rossport Fire Protection Team participated in the the Ontario Fire Code. Gy Funeral John Edward (Ted) McInnes Funeral services for the late John Edward (Ted) McInnes were held December 7th, 1989 in St. Martin's Roman Catholic Church with Father B. Campbell officiating. Ted was born March 23, 1912 in South River, Ontario. Surviving him are Tim, Saskatoon; Terry, Toronto; Sondra (Merrick), 100 Mile House, B.C.; Vincent, Wingham; Janis (Train), Toronto; Bryan, Saskatoon; Judy (Reaney), Saskatoon; Jennifer (Smith), Thunder Bay; Susan (Glad), Terrace Bay. He is also survived by brothers "Mac", "Pam and sister "Teen", 19 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Ted was predeceased by Helen Dec. 12/53 and Irene June 21/78. Pallbearers were his sons: Tim, Terry, Vincent and Bryan. Honorary Pallbearers were former co-workers: Wayne Young; Stan Zwaresh; Bob Harris; Joe Ruzyski; Bob Mendelin; Ken Turner Sr; Doug Caldwell; Raoul Foumier. 'Ted was a member of IBEW local 1861; Moose Lodge #1752 and an honorary member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #223. He will be missed by all.
