Council also passed a By-Law to prohibit the discharge of firearms in the Township of Schreiber. The discharge of guns, or other firearms of any type is pro- hibited in the township as described in detail in the by-law. Any pcrson convicted of breaking this by-law could be subject to a fine of up to $1,000 and will be responsible to pay any additional costs. Council decided to allow motorized wheelchairs to use the path and is also looking at the problem of the curbs, which make it difficult, if not impossible, for wheelchairs to get from the road onto the pathway. The Township of Terrace Bay has applied to the Ministry of Natural Resources to purchase the waterfront property. The cost will be $250 but the paperwork to transfer the property will take from six to nine months.
