The Schreiber Public Library plans the following activi- ties during this week: - A Book Mark contest with the - students of both elementary schools participating. - Outreach Ontario Programs of the Ministry of Culture and Communications through the Ontario Library Service is sponsor- ing "In concert KERI AND COM- PANY" Children's Music and Fun Thursday, October 19 at 2 p.m. in the gymnasium of the Schreiber Public School for pre-school, J.K., S.K., Grade 1 and 2 children. This concert is open to the public. - A Teen Night in the Library for HighSchool students where music and games will be featured. Pop and popcorn will be served. This will be held Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. - A Film Festival for the entire A&W asking customers (Vancouver) - A & W Food Services of Canada: Ltd., has launched a Canada-wide, in-store campaign to ask its customers how they feel about the proposed federal goods and services tax as it relates to food service. Beginning this week, A & W customers will be invited to indi- cate "Yes" or "No" to the follow- ing question on a ballot: "Is it fair that food purchased in supermar- kets and food stores is tax free while food sold in fast food restaurants, office cafeterias, table service restaurants and snack bars family will be held in the library in place of Saturday Story Hour at 2 p-m., Oct. 21. Watch for posters around the town and come in and help us cele- brate Library Week. The "Biggest Zucchini in Schreiber" contest was won by Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Slater with a 11.27 Ib zucchini. Their prize was a gift certificate donated by Mary Burnett of the Serendipity Gardens at Rossport. A policy has been set whereby a $20 deposit will be required refundable upon the return of the camera in perfect condition.
